Steve Albanese Passing
A very long time friend of over 50 years passed away recently.
His name is Steve Albanese and he was a member of our club. I don't know if his
dues were up to date or not. I met Steve way back in 1968 when I joined our
local coin club. I am member #163 and he was member #33. He was a few years
older than me. As friends do we may not see each other for a couple years then
reconnect. He was big into coin collecting of which he sold me some coins from
time to time before we both got hit hard with the silver strike bug. Steve loved
finding the varieties especially on the $7.00 strikes. Different weights and die
varieties. The last few years he struggled with a number of health issues.
I am happy he is at peace finally, though I will sure miss our phone conversations.
I found out this news yesterday (12 Oct. 21), and I already miss my friend.

My dad Jim Turnbow passed away last Thursday, August 5th at 8:45 PM we're going to have his funeral this Friday morning at 11 AM at Presentation church at 4123 Robertson Ave., Sacramento 95821, there will be a viewing at 10:00 AM to 11 :00 am before mass and then the burial will be immediately after at Calvary Christian cemetery at 7101 Verner ave., Citrus Heights ca. 95621.
Everyone's invited and then after that a get together at his house at 3728 Robertson Ave., Sacramento 95821 for some food & beverages to celebrate his life.

To Our Silver Strikers,
The June Tournament was a great Success and everyone seemed to have a great time. It was so good to see everyone enjoy themselves. As most of you know or have heard that the ink on some of the June 2021 coins is peeling off. The Mint has been working to zero in on the cause and have narrowed it down to be the primer. So for those of you that have June 2021 coins that the Ink is peeling we have a few options:
If you are coming to the Halloween release bring your coins and we will have the mint pick them and re-colorize them. If not the Halloween release but you are coming to the January 2022 Tournament which will be on January 28th, 29th & 30th 2022 bring your coins if the ink is peeling.
NOT ALL OF THE COINS ARE AFFECTED SO ONLY THE JUNE 2021 COINS THAT HAVE THE INK PEELING WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

Four Queens June 2021 Tournament
We just wanted to let all of you know that the Four Queens is putting everything together for a June Tournament. This is a process due to all of the restrictions we are under due to covid. At this time I can only give you the dates that we are looking at (June 25,26.27 2021). As I get more information I will post for all of you. I've got my fingers crossed and the artwork is at the mint.
